Book for the extraordinary performances of ‘Every dollar is a soldier/with money you’re a dragon’

by Daniel York Loh, An-Ting Chang and Christine Ting–Huan 挺欢 Urquhart

Join us for a unique ‘live’ theatrical promenade performance inside the CAN X TWO TEMPLE PLACE virtual art gallery.  This immersive 45 minute production explores the migrant experience, from the poorest of Chinese sailors who jumped ship in the East End to the richest of men like William Waldorf Astor, the eccentric American founder of Two Temple Place.

Every dollar is a soldier, with money you’re a dragon‘ is set ‘after hours’ in the gallery, twenty audience members (visible to each other as their chosen avatar) gather in the lobby and follow the ghostly figure and ethereal voice of artist and singer-songwriter Chloe Wing, in her exquisite, handcrafted papercut gown and headdress, who guides us through the virtual galleries. Encounter performances by choreographer and dancer Si Rawlinson, musicians Wang Xiao and Cheng Yu, playing An-Ting Chang’s contemporary new score on Chinese instruments and meet Astor himself, played by Daniel
