CAN heads into October with a focus on technology and the arts, family and theatre with with some exciting collaborations between artists from different disciplines.

Tomorrow, Wednesday 30 September CAN is hosting a FREE digital technology and arts Q&A with Seph Li, Donald Shek and Tuyet Van Huynh about their work with CAN and the crossovers between technology and the arts. Book your FREE place now!

We’re also launching an new artistic project on October 14– CAN Digital Commission No.3 Duck/Rabbit by Pamela Carter, a co-commission with Yellow Earth Theatre.

Pamela Carter’s new film is a conversation between two women – her grandmothers who never met, told through photographs and text – Tan Miau Lang in Singapore and Phyllis Smalley in Lancaster.

Carter is a writer for performance – in theatre, opera, the visual arts, and dance – as well as a director and dramaturg. For this project she has collaborated with Christine 挺欢 Urquhart, half Taiwanese and English born, a former Fine Art Painter and Sculptor working in Theatre and Film as a Set & Costume Designer and Art Director.

Duck/Rabbit is part of CAN’s mission to provide cultural experiences that can be enjoyed right now, despite the strange and restricted times we find ourselves in. It’s FREE though donations are welcome.
