About

Lucky Ping-Pong Dragon Karaoke is a performative karaoke event presented by four Pan-Asian artists who discuss issues around authenticity and identity through solo works. Audiences are invited to vote which artist they want to perform, with choices including cabaret, cooking, fortune telling, singing and some intense screams. Mixing performance acts, dance and popular hits in a karaoke room in Chinatown, this 18+ sited performance sets out to challenge stereotypes of ‘Chineseness’. This event contains foods/drinks, partial nudity, excessive noise and the possibility of getting wet. Earplugs and ponchos will be provided, please contact Burong (tania880601@gmail.com) if you have special dietary requests or any particular karaoke songs you want to sing.

Please note, this show is in a non-theatre space, on the second floor of the building where it is taking place, and there is no lift.

Lucky Ping-Pong Dragon Karaoke is devised and performed by Howl Yuan, Zhiyue Hu, Mengting Zhuo and Burong Zeng. https://lppdk.wordpress.com
