About

Alice Lee is an actress, writer and producer who formed Sandy Lane Productions to create thought-provoking and inspirational stories. In conversation with Jodie Gilliam will explore her career, being an East Asian woman in the arts and her film HUSH.

Alice will also be joined by collaborator and co-creator of CreAsian Michelle Yim as they discuss the need to celebrate the success of Asian creatives and how their podcast aims to be a catalyst for debate.

Alice Lee

Alice Lee is an actress, writer and producer of Sandy Lane Productions. She worked with many renowned actors and directors in films and television in Hong Kong before settling in London in 2007. Sandy Lane Productions was founded with her passion to create thought-provoking and inspirational stories. Alice’s recent work include: CAN’s immersive theatre Overheard, the BBC radio play From Shore to Shore and NHS “Just the Flu?” Commercial.

Michelle Yim

 Michelle Yim

Michelle is a British East Asian actor from Huddersfield. She trained at ALRA in London and has performed and toured all over the UK, as well as appearing in numerous short films and small roles on TV. She also works as a voice over artist in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and is artistic director of Red Dragonfly Productions www.reddragonflyproductions.co.uk, director and producer for Grist to the Mill Productions and The Rotunda Theatre - a 120 seat pop-up theatre.
